Because the best marketers deserve great content.
We like to count in days at Percolate. On one hand, it helps keep perspective on just how young the company is, and on the other, it helps remind people that their daily contribution has a meaningful impact on the business. Today is day 1,594 of the company, and in that time we’ve done a huge number of things, large and small, that make me both proud of where we’ve come from and incredibly optimistic about where we’re going.
In the last 1,594 days we’ve built a world-class product, hired over 200 incredible people, opened offices in New York, San Francisco, London, LA, and Austin, brought over 300 brands into the Percolate family, held onto a culture that makes us one of the best places to work, and defined a new category of software for marketers, The System of Record, that is changing the relationship between marketing, creativity, systems, and software.
With all those accomplishments, I’m way more excited about tomorrow than I am about yesterday. The opportunity in front of us is gigantic: We’re entering what will likely be the most important period in economic history. The global opportunity for marketers is going to grow massively over the coming years and the best marketers in the world are seeing the opportunity to operationalize what they do with the help of software. Software is the central system, powering this new connected world, and the last member of the enterprise to join the revolution is marketing. Our System of Record is here to help global brands manage the planning, creative development, production, distribution, monitoring, and analysis of all marketing, and it’s been designed from the ground-up to solve the problems of tomorrow’s marketer.
I mention all this because today we’re announcing that we’ve raised a $40 million Series C led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from previous investors Sequoia Capital, GGV, First Round Capital, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Transmedia, Advancit, Slow Ventures, and others. If you look over the previous paragraphs, it should be clear why we’ve pushed ahead to do that. It’s all about what we’re going to do tomorrow, and guaranteeing that we continue to stay ahead of the challenges global marketers face. We wouldn’t be at this point without the amazing work of everyone at Percolate and the commitment of our clients to pushing the boundaries of what marketing software can accomplish. To all of you, thanks for joining us on this ride. Our commitment back to you is a simple but powerful one: We won’t stop pushing. Our entire team is squarely focused on the future.
What we’ve built to date doesn’t matter if we can’t continue to deliver software that solves your most important needs tomorrow, the day after that, and every additional day that follows. Thanks for the continued support and for continuing to push us to do more.
